In this blog post, we'll guide you through what to expect when you first receive your DRR USA EV, from the unboxing process to charging, and we'll even provide video guides to walk you through.
Unboxing or Receiving your DRR USA EV Off-road Vehicle
Depending on whether you order your vehicle unassembled or not may determine shipping procedures. This process will be outlined for you upon ordering your unit from the dealership.
Regardless, upon receiving your vehicle, you can expect a well-packaged and carefully handled delivery. We take great care in ensuring that your vehicle arrives in pristine condition. Here's what to expect during the unboxing process:
Unboxing Checklist:
The vehicle is securely packed in a cardboard box encased in a metal crate.
All necessary parts, including the charger will be included.
When receiving the vehicle, please uncrate and inspect the vehicle for any damages prior to the completion of the drop-off.
If you find any damage, please make sure you write any damages on the delivery receipt.
Unassembled Procedure:
If you are receiving your vehicle unassembled, detailed assembly instructions can be found electronically, or in the user's manual which is included in the package.
An overview of the assembly process can be seen here:
For a more in-depth guide, please locate the user's manual.
Before and after each ride:
Your vehicle will arrive with a charged battery and will be ready for you to ride.
Review all safety forms, as well as the owner's manual given to you at the time of purchase.
It is essential to read the pre-ride instructions and checklists located in the owner's manual.
Wear proper safety gear, such as a helmet and non-lace style boots.
Charging procedure:
When you are finally ready for your first charge, it is imperative that you properly charge the vehicle according to our charging procedures.
Improper charging will result in a loss of warranty coverage and will lead to vehicle damage.
All charging instructions can be located in the owner's manual, as well as electronically here:
Remember to use a dedicated 30-amp outlet when charging.
DO NOT use an extension cord. Use of an extension cord will void your warranty.
It is recommended to unplug your vehicle after the battery is 80% charged for optimal battery life.
DO NOT turn your vehicle on while you are charging. Remove the charger prior to checking the battery levels.
If you have any questions about how to charge your EV, please contact DRR immediately for assistance.
